New Driver Education Program Update

We thought you might appreciate an update on our new driver education program!

Accomplishments:

• Three instructors completed and passed the ODOT approved instructor training course;

• Two Ford Broncos were purchased this summer for use as driver education vehicles;

• ODOT awarded WCESD an additional grant to support program development in the second year...thank you ODOT!

Goals for Fall/Winter:

• Equip driver education vehicles with dual control brake systems, signage and instructor mirrors;

• Develop policies, procedures and a plan for the new program;

• Complete the application process to become an ODOT-approved program;

• Schedule the first driver education class for the spring of 2027.
