Early Childhood

Wallowa County ESD currently provides Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education (EI/ECSE) and early childhood programming for the Joseph School District #6, Wallowa School District # 12, and Enterprise School District #21. We currently have one full-day classroom in Joseph, one full-day classroom in Wallowa, and two full-day classrooms in Enterprise. 

The early childhood services provided include preschool enrollment, support, and programming, evaluation and services for birth to five year olds in the following areas: Speech and Language, Occupation Therapy, Physical Therapy and Autism. All of these services are provided within home visits or classroom consultation. Our departments work closely with Childcare Resource and Referral and several other community partners to align services for birth to five.
