Four skilled technicians purchase, install, and maintain networking equipment for the ESD, its four school districts, and a variety of non-profit governmental agencies.
The ESD Tech Center continually strives to leverage technology to serve regional districts while improving efficiency. Strategies to accomplish this goal include;
Charging as little as possible or not at all for services to districts
Centralize services to increase quality & decrease cost
Cooperative purchasing for increased savings
Provide solutions and support that enable higher quality services

The department also continues to develop and support a local Wide Area Network for the ESD, component school districts and other “non-private” organizations. This network consists of leased fiber optic & licensed microwave links with a bandwidth ranging from 1 to 10 Gbps.
