The Wallowa County ESD boasts a dynamic Speech and Language team presently consisting of two ASHA certified clinicians, one certified Speech Language Pathologist’s Assistant and one special education assistant. The Speech and Language department currently serves four school districts, two Head Start Preschools and the Early Childhood Special Education program, as well as the birth to 5-year-old population.  Our team is highly trained and experienced with a wide range of disabilities, including, but not limited to: articulation disorders, language disorders, Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, Apraxia of Speech, CP, swallowing disorders, voice disorders and a variety of other disorders.  The department also participates in preschool and school age language and hearing screening.
